Nevada - Washington!

Ok! I am super bad about catching up! I apologize! We moved at the end of February from Henderson, NV to Aberdeen, WA. We are in Gray's Harbor county ~ where my husband grew up! This is a fabulous place to raise our kids too (ages 13, 5, and 3). We are about 1 1/2 hours south of Seattle and 20 minutes from the coast!

Lately, my sister (a natural light photographer ~ http://www.lconeill.smugmug.com/ ) and I have been working on a modeling assignment for ebay designers on a nautical set. Lilly was amazing, we had 4 separate "shoots" . My favorite picture is attached ~ she is modeling a set from boutique*layceloo and a lullabylamb hat.

All is well here, just adjusting to a new location and a new routine. The house we purchased is so amazing. 3400 sq ft and built in 1929, it has an amazing personality and a great location and loads and loads of space for all of us. We are painting and painting the house. Some previous owner thought it would be a hoot to paint the entire house an awful shade of blue-gray and in EVERY room! Blech! We are bringing the house back (with paint) room, by room. I am hoping that I will be able to stay here until I am 98! I never want to pack 4 sets of china again!

YCMT!

I am so honored to be affiliated with http://www.youcanmakethis.com/. I sell crochet and knit patterns through them along with several other talented crochet and knit designers. Recently, they let us know that they are going to be advertising (with our pictures!) in several crochet magazines. How super exciting!

Here are the ones they are listing in:

Crochet! magazine
Hooked on Crochet
Crochet World
Annie's Crochet

Here is an ad that was in the Jan08 issue of Crochet! (my hat is the Happy Stripes Sun hat in the lower right corner!)

I am still working on my book proposal with a major publishing house. The editorial assistant I have been working with is wonderful. I can't say how impressed I am with this company, their employees and their finished product.

Keep your fingers crossed, pray, do a dance naked under the stars or whatever you do to bring people luck ~ this would be such a dream to have this book of my patterns published!

I'll keep you posted on what is going on ~ it is absolutely pouring cats and dogs outside, so I am going to make sure I have everything in from outside (which is wild, because it so rarely rains in Las Vegas!).

Until next time............

The '08 Update!

Oh my gosh! I can not believe that I haven't been on here since AUGUST! I am so very very bad about keeping up with things lately! Life is constantly about mach 1 around our house.
Great news: http://www.lullabylamb.com/ is up and running, lots of super sweet vintage and European inspired toys, clothes and accessories on the site, and I am working to incorporate more and more items each month. It is a slow, but steady process.
Oh, I am working with a publisher on a possible book (crochet & knit hats patterns), it is going slow, but my contact at the publishing house is the editorial assistant and is super nice. I hope to have a long relationship with the company. Now, I just need to figure out how to get drafts/proposals, etc turned in properly and presented in a stunning way that says, "WOW, PUBLISH ME!"
Also, we are moving to Aberdeen, WA at the end of the month. Hopefully it will be our final move! In 20 years of marriage, I think we have had something insane like 14 moves? The process has become second nature to our entire family. The kids are so excited, they are already looking at paint swatches with us trying to figure out "the perfect color" for their rooms!

There are a ton of other things that have happened lately too, but I'll fill in those gaps later.
My sister, Lori took this amazing picture of Lilly in a new Valentine's Day hat and since V-Day is only 6 days away, I thought I'd share and wish all of you a wonderful Valentine's Day! Because at the rate I blog, it will need to keep you happy until Halloween! (ARGH ~ I promise to blog more frequently!).

Blogging = Pink Nike's

I am so very excited to be blogging (finally)! Remember back in the mid 80's when everyone and I mean everyone had Nike's for back to school? Well, that's how I have felt about blogging lately. I remember in 1985 when I was a sophomore in high school and I begged, yes, begged my mother for a pair of Pink Swoosh Nike's. That's how I have felt about blogging!

Oh, my mother never saw the reason for expensive tennis shoes so I never did get those coveted Pink Swoosh Nike's, but I do have a Blog! Here is a pair I should go out and buy in celebration of this brand new blog ~ these are the Nike Air Pegasus' I believe. In Flamingo Pink!

Can't wait to share with you all the great things happening with LullabyLamb and in my life!
